Who are we?

Mark Swain Principal founded SOLUTIONS ZANE in April 2009 to focus on achieving excellence in land use planning, based in Sydney, Australia.

We provide a consultancy service that facilitates better planning outcomes in an increasingly complex statutory framework, with ever increasing delays in processing times. With the client, we identify early contentious issues and engage in a high level of consultation with the core objective to maximise development potential in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Mark Swain has over 17 years of Local Government experience in Sydney and at Tweed Shire Council before moving abroad to live and work in Cali and Bogota, Colombia and Quito, Ecuador as a Senior Executive for a multi-national training organisation.

Since returning to Australia in 2009 Mark Swain established SOLUTIONS ZANE and has been involved in a wide range of planning projects throughout NSW. Whilst working extensively within the eastern Sydney region, the consultancy is regularly engaged in different areas of the state and is well equipped to respond to the diversities of urban and regional environments.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

SOLUTIONS ZANE sponsors five (5) children through World Vision programs in Zambia and Ethiopia.  These programs are aimed at providing the children the necessary tools to overcome the cycle of starvation and poverty via good health and education.

On a local level, Mark is an active member of the Rotary Club of Kings Cross and participates in a range of community service activities, youth education and leadership development.
